Tuesday we seen the CBOT futures take a big hit and Wednesday it was KC wheats turn to get wrecked so to speak. Technical selling looked to be the main driver along with increased chances for rains in the US southern plains.

Markets were mixed Tuesday with oilseeds going full send higher while wheat headed lower.

Not much happening in the markets as lack of news so to speak are keeping things relatively boring so to speak.

It was a realtively quiet day in markets with really no news coming through to give the market direction one way or the other.

Markets opened up Sunday night weaker but did manage to get some legs under it Monday and finished slightly higher with the exception of canola.

The headline trade is back on, Russia ramps up missile attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure and expressed concerns about not getting fair treatment through the grain export deal.

Markets were weaker on the day for the most part as there was little to no news to carry on after the move higher from the day before.

USDA report came out and overall was a non event so to speak. We saw some small changes to the Brazil numbers while Argentina seen some bigger than expected cuts.

USDA will be out today with their February report and here is what it could look like.

Mixed day for the grains as traders prepare for the highly anticipated USDA WASDE report on Wednesday.

Grains in general were under pressure with the exception of canola which made some decent gains again on the day. The big news in the market wasn’t weather or anything like that but rather the strength in the USD.

More rains in the forecast for Argentina and the US FED raised rates by 0.25% and sounds like they will continue to raise rates slow and steady until inflation gets under control.

It was an interesting day in the markets to say the least as its looking like the market may be topping out for the time being.

Markets started the week higher as rains over the weekend in Argentina were not what forecasters were predicting also add in that China is back to work after a weeks holiday.

Markets made some decent gains on the day across the board.

Never a dull moment in the grain market with some interesting news out of Ukraine and canola looks like has found a bottom to bounce off of.

Turn around Tuesday was in full swing and the market has recovered most of the losses seen on Monday while canola continues to slide lower.

Rain makes grain! At least that’s the headline that hit the markets hard on Monday as Argentina received some well needed moisture over the weekend along with that there was some heavy snowfall in parts of the US winter wheat crop areas.

Looks like Thursday was a repeat of Wednesday as grains just cant seem to catch a break.
