Markets finished off Friday with wheat leading the charge higher as we headed into the weekend.

Markets were mixed Thursday with corn, soybeans and canola slightly weaker while wheat continued to make some small gains.

Big day in the market on headlines there was an assassination attempt on Putin in the Kremlin. The finger pointing started right away with Russia accusing Ukraine while Ukraine said it wasn’t them. This got the wheat market fired up as now we will have to wait and see what Russia’s retaliation will be and also how this could impact the grain corridor talks set for Friday.

Markets took another beating but this time it was more to do with outside markets.

Good god the wheat market just sucks lately as it starts May out continuing to slide lower.

Markets finished Friday off regaining some if its losses seen during the week.

The beating will continue until morale improves…

Well the Stats Can report came out and the market was friendly with the canola numbers as it came in below expectations while the wheat number to me looks about right but was higher than trade estimates.

Markets took a hit lower on Tuesday in what looked to me like it was more money flow vs anything else.

Markets were up Sunday night as Russia threatens to kill the grain deal if the G7 countries ban exports to Russia.

Markets had a three day losing streak as lack of Black Sea headlines along with rains in the long term forecasts for the drought stricken winter wheat crop.

Markets were weaker across the board Wednesday as inspections resumed in the Black Sea but the real kicker was the jump in the USD.

Markets continued to make gains as Black Sea deal is up in the air and continued dry weather in the US winter wheat areas.

Corn and wheat caught a decent bid mid morning as Russian rhetoric about not renewing the Black Sea deal is getting some traction in the UN.

We are into day 4 of the Goldman Roll which had markets somewhat under pressure, more so in wheat.

Markets were mixed after the USDA report with corn and wheat lower while soybeans were higher.

Markets opened up Sunday night pretty strong as Russia said over the weekend that they could scrap the grain deal unless the west remove the financial barriers on Russian grain and fertilizer exports.

News over the weekend of oil production cuts gave the markets a decent boost overnight and for part of the day Monday but gains then pulled back.
