Markets opened the first trading day weaker with the big drivers being rains in South America have somewhat stabilized the situation there along with a stronger USD.

Markets opened up Boxing day with wheat making some big gains taking corn and soybeans along for the ride.  The big headline over the Christmas break was the Ukrainians launched a successful attack on a Russian naval vessel in the Black Sea.

Markets were mixed for the day with corn, CBOT wheat and KC wheat making a few gains while Spring wheat canola and soybeans were lower.  It was a pretty quiet day in the markets with low volume of trade and lack of news to give the market some direction.

Markets were mixed on the day with wheat making some gains while canola was lower.  There was little news in the wheat market other than the CCC ( Commodity Credit Corp ) could be tendering for a donation to Ethiopia and also Tanzania.

With only 6 days to go until Christmas, the market was showing its Christmas colors with a green and red screen.

Markets were mostly higher on Friday with the big moves being in wheat while canola was under some heavy pressure but did manage to come off the lows of the day.  Funds continue to add to their heavy short position adding another 12,485 contracts making it a total of 108,309.

The wheat market giveth then the wheat market taketh away!  There was some decent moves in the market the last couple days with wheat pushing higher on Tuesday but gave back those gains Wednesday.

Markets were mixed Monday with canola making some decent gains while spring wheat came under heavy pressure yet again.

Only 16 days until Christmas!  Markets started the day out quiet but then once the USDA report came out profit taking kicked in.  The report wasn’t bullish nor bearish more so came in line with expectations and the south American crop estimates still seem optimistic.

Markets started the day out mixed with wheat making some decent gains while canola continues to slide lower.

Markets were mixed Friday with wheat up slightly while canola took a heavy hit. Monday we seen sort of the same play out with canola down a bit more while wheat managed to catch a bid and make some gains.

It was an interesting day as we edge towards the last day of the November. The wheat market had a decent breakout near the end of the day as funds are riding out their short position to the last minute where either they roll to the march contract or they just get out.

Markets were mostly higher on the day with overall wheat market was making some solid gains along with canola. Looking at wheat we seen KC wheat make the biggest gains while CBOT and Spring Wheat were not far behind.

Markets continued to grind lower as it appears its still feeling the effects of thanksgiving along with Black Friday sales. There was even deals in the market for cyber Monday as we get closer to the end of the month which typically means markets will mess around a bit as the positions get squared up for month end.

Markets showed some strength for the day as the USD was weaker along with some news of more attacks on Ukrainian ports. Russia launched a missile attack on a Ukrainian port in the Odesa region causing some damage.

Markets were mixed on Monday with soybeans making some decent gains carrying canola along with it while wheat comes under pressure. The big driver in the bean market is the status of the Brazilian crop which there is some rains in the driest part but the jury is still out on whether or not it will be enough to help or only bring temporary relief.

Markets were mostly stronger on the day but did pull back off the highs but finished strong. Canola was up hard but pulled back off the highs as the CAD regained over half a penny.

Markets were higher Monday with soybeans leading the way. Canola had a long weekend but did have a strong finish on Friday.

USDA came out with some interesting numbers more so in corn and soybeans where yields were increased which in turn increased the ending stocks. Trade may have been a bit surprised by the corn yield they posted which also gave the trade a bit of a surprise to the end stocks.
